About Us

MN-Iowa Electric Motors is North Iowa’s and Southern Minnesota’s leading source for replacement motors and quality rebuilding service. Sixty years of combined expertise is available with broad knowledge in electrical and mechanical operations of motors.

Over 1500 motors of all designs are in stock to expedite your needs.  Emergency services are provided on a 24/7 basis. We are a factory authorized Distribution Center for  Baldor, Leeson, Sterling, and AO Smith (Century) electric motors and POW’R GARD generators. Warranty service is provided for all of these products.

RYAN

Ryan and his family have been part of the North Iowa community for over 20 years.  Ryan formerly owned Lahner Electric which he ran for over 15 years.  Ryan has acquired Master Electrician status in 3 states and is a certified installer of Square D and Invertek drives.  Building on his father Steve's legacy, Ryan has taken the steps of adding UL certification to MN Iowa's expanding panel shop.

Chris Eiffler, Office Manager, has been at MN-Iowa since August of 2014. Ready to do what it takes to honor Steve's Legacy and help Ryan with the day-to-day operations.

GRACE BARTER

Meet the "Grace-of-all-trades" at the Kelsey facility. Along with Tom, Grace was owner/operator of Kelsey Electric for the past 40 years. Be it data entry, preparing freight or sweeping the floor, Grace helps keep everything running smoothly.

JR UNDERWOOD

Eugene Underwood "JR" has been the motor technician at Kelsey electric since 1990. He is ready to assist you with all your motor repairs at the Kelsey location.

TOM BARTER

Tom Barter brings over 40 years of electric motor, motor parts and electrical apparatus experience to the MN-Iowa Electric team. Having received a BS degree in Agricultural Engineering, worked in the field in the grain handling department of FS, owned & operated Kelsey Electric for 40 years and past president of the Midwestern region EASA chapter. Tom developed a vast data base of contacts & information to help him find a solution for your electric motor needs.
