About Us

MN-Iowa Electric Motors is North/Central Iowa’s and Southern Minnesota’s leading source for replacement motors and quality rebuilding service. With two locations including Mason City and Kesley, Iowa. Sixty years of combined expertise is available with broad knowledge in electrical and mechanical operations of motors, controls, and gearing. 

Over 1500 motors of all designs are in stock to expedite your needs.  Emergency services are provided on a 24/7 basis. We are a factory authorized Distribution Center for Baldor, Leeson, WEG, Sterling, Worldwide, and AO Smith (Century) electric motors. We supply Winco and Kohler generators, as well as transfer switches. Warranty service is provided for all of these products.

Ryan and his family have been part of the North Iowa community for over 30 years.  Ryan formerly owned Lahner Electric which he ran for over 15 years.  Ryan has acquired Master Electrician status in 3 states and is a certified installer of Square D, Eaton, and Invertek drives.

Chris Eiffler, Office Manager, has been at MN-Iowa since August of 2014. Ready to do what it takes to honor Steve's Legacy and help Ryan with the day-to-day operations.

JR UNDERWOOD

Eugene Underwood "JR" has been the motor technician at Kelsey electric since 1990. He is ready to assist you with all your motor repairs at the Kelsey location.

TOM BARTER

Tom Barter brings over 40 years of electric motor, motor parts and electrical apparatus experience to the MN-Iowa Electric team. Having received a BS degree in Agricultural Engineering, worked in the field in the grain handling department of FS, owned & operated Kelsey Electric for 40 years and past president of the Midwestern region EASA chapter. Tom developed a vast data base of contacts & information to help him find a solution for your electric motor needs.
